Bio

Dr. Ullrich's work focuses on the design and development of cutting-edge climate modeling systems, the tools needed for processing and managing large climate datasets, and methods for evaluating regional climate datasets in light of stakeholder need. In particular, he is focused on the use of regional and global atmospheric models for capturing extreme weather events and associated meteorological patterns that give rise to extremes. This work also enables significant engagement with the broader stakeholder community (particularly water managers), with whom he frequently works to deliver credible and salient climate information.
